Tacos and Heartbreak
Tacos and Heartbreak
I just received the most terrible news. I don't know how I'll go on. Senor Taco is gone. Forever. We were supposed to have so much more time together. Where else can one find tacos and burritos of such caliber? At what other restaurant does the owner come out and converse with the customers? Making sure everyone has adequate amounts of sauce while they eat their food, with reruns of Tom and Jerry and other cartoons playing on the TV in the corner. I'm shook. Let us remember the good times.
I was first introduced to Senor Taco by my father. We went on an odyssey around Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland, trying to donate some furniture. (By the way, Habitat for Humanity has no business only accepting donations on Thursdays. Also, Redmond Value Village is the goat. Thank me later). We were hungry and my Dad said he knew a little spot....
Have you ever walked into a restaurant and immediately knew it was going to be good? That's exactly what happened when I walked into Senor Taco at the first time. It was love at first sight. The Senor Taco, their signature item is a taco with fries. I know, sounds suspect. Its fantastic. The fries are delightfully thin and crispy, exactly the perfect texture that allows them to succeed.
I loved Senor Taco and I trusted they would be around forever. However, you never know what tomorrow has in store. So I leave this advice. Cherish every moment. Live every day like its your last. Eat at your favorite taco spot frequently. You never know when it will go away...
